Biography
Besinuwa Streeter, known as “Sim,” started singing at age 11. As a teenager, he set himself apart as a top singer in his high school choir. At 18, Sim became part of the group, Casual Soul, and signed a demo deal with Def Jam Recordings. He later worked with Full Force's Paul Anthony and Bo Legged Lou, under the management of Mona Scott. However, he has since turned to solo work that has allowed him to establish a distinguished and expanding vocal career.

Here are some highlights:

  • Opened for Howard Hewitt in Washington D.C.—2004
  • Sang the national anthem at the Richmond Colosseum—1999
  • Won TV-8 Rising Star competition in Richmond, Virginia—1998
  • Performed at the Children's Choice Awards—1997
  • Sang backup for LL Cool J on the David Letterman Show—1996
  • Worked with Full Force and Kango from UTFO—1995

Sim's soothing but commanding alto vocals hark back to the soul singers of the 1970s with lyrics that can stimulate both party goers and the politically conscious. Some of his musical influences include Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, Bobby Womack, Rochelle Farrell, and Whitney Houston.

Biography

Born and raised in Upper Manhattan’s, Washington Heights/Dyckman area, Cedric Streeter aka C.E.D. (which stands for Cash Every Denomination) learned to love music at the age of 5 while playing drums in a recording studio with his father Arthur Streeter.  Growing up in the era of Hip Hop, C.E.D. formed his love for the music listening to radio shows such as “The Kool DJ Red Alert Show” and Marley Marl’s show on 107.5 WBLS every Friday and Saturday night.

Throughout high school C.E.D. would freestyle/rhyme for fun, but it wasn’t until the age of 21 that he realized his talent and began to write poems and songs.  In 1994 C.E.D. moved to Stockholm, Sweden to pursue modeling (but don’t let the pretty boy image fool you) and landed his first speaking role in a commercial for Telia AB (a Swedish telephone company), which also led to being featured in a print ad under the same company.

After returning to the U.S., C.E.D. furthered his knowledge of the music business by working behind the scenes as an assistant/intern for Oz Music Group.  Between working and interning C.E.D. still found time to follow his love and passion for music by finding time to record.  C.E.D. has preformed on stage battling MC’s at SOB’s in Manhattan and at a BMI show case at DownTime.    In November of 2004, Cedric became founder and C.E.O. of Kaos Records, LLC, which houses such artist as Venessa, Sim, Born to Talk, Sound Control Productions and himself.
